TMX 2010 - Forty hands, One heart

It's that time again, and I'm very excited to be heading out on Saturday to Monterrey, Mexico with 19 other folks. Our team has been meeting for months and through those meetings have grown close to each other and excited to "get on with it". A few weeks ago they came up with the mission statement, "Forty hands. One heart." This personifies our group. We are 20 people each with a different set of hands...we are all very different in our strengths, weaknesses, gifts and talents that we are bringing to this mission, but above all we have one heart. It's a heart that has led each one of us to make the necessary sacrifices to serve for a week in a third world country. It's a heart that is excited and expectant for God to do great things through us. It's a heart that wants to see life change, both ours and others. I know this is going to be a great week and I'm happy you are all along for the ride.
My hope is that this blog will give our students a voice throughout the week to share with friends and family about their adventures. We will be having a few students write each day and if possible, share some pictures as well.
Thanks for your support...stop by daily (starting on Saturday) to see what we've been up to!
Amy
