Ready...Set...Go...
In just 7 hours the 24 members of our TMX2012 team will meet at Horizon to head to the airport and begin our journey. As we head out I can feel the expectation in the air from our students. They created their own facebook page and have been counting down the hours on the status bar all day. I am sure this will prove to be "the best trip yet"...as they all seem to be.
Just a few stats about this year's team:
19 Students and 5 Adults (yes, pray for us adults!!) :)
18 Girls and 6 Boys (yes, pray for the boys!!) :)
5 Freshman, 10 Sophomores, and 4 Juniors
6 Different high schools represented
Over 1,200 lbs of luggage
and a partridge in a pear tree!! Ok, I'm kidding about the pear tree, but as I think through all of those numbers, they really represent 24 unique hearts that God wants to impact this week. After 8 years of taking high school students to Mexico I can honestly say it is my favorite week of the year. Please join with me in praying for our students, our leaders, and our hosts as we follow God's call to love the widows and orphans in this world!!
