WE ARE HERE :) by: Lauren Lytle

Hello,

We made it to Mexico nice and safe :) Both flights went really well and I could not be more excited to be here! After we got picked up from the airport we went to the home we will be staying for the week! To my surprise the home is very very nice, we are blessed to stay in a place like this. After we dropped off our things we went to a childrens home! At the home we celebrated a little boys birthday! The cute thing about this was that this little boy was the only boy in the home. We played all kinds of circle games with the kids, which was a blast! Me and a few of the girls acted out the bible of Moses. Just like Moses's mother gave him away because she wanted him to have a better life, so did these childrens parents. After the skit we colored with the kids and then ate dinner. For dinner we have hot dogs that were bright red. Although I was skeptical of this meat IT WAS AWESOME :) After dinner we let the birthday boy open up his gifts and we ate cake! After cake we said goodbye to the kids the headed back to our house. Back at the house we went over ground rules and had some worship time! Then it was lights out! This morning we woke up ate breakfast and had some quiet time! We will be soon heading out to church! I cant wait to see what God has in store for our group today! Please keep us in your prayers!

ps. I love and miss the Lytle Family!

  5. Thanks so much for your very descriptive blog! I felt like I was at the birthday party with all of you. The kids must be so excited to have you, as Amy would say, "loving on them"! I don't know who will be more blessed and changed by these experiences, your group or the kids? God does AMAZING things when you give Him your all! I'm praying for you all. We miss you Annie, especially Molly, but I can't wait to see how God will grow all of you during this experience. Sending you love and hugs! From Laurie (Annie's Mom)
